Mayara appropriates various languages and technologies around image and video, including AI, to produce, construct, disseminate, and frame narratives of black, indigenous, and dissident bodies. In the audiovisual field, she has directed projects, music videos, short and medium-length films, including the films ‘Orixás Center,’ ‘Abian,’ ‘A Hora Aberta,’ and the music video ‘No Coração da Escuridão’, by Mahmundi. Her photography and visual arts work has been featured in magazines such as Le Monde Diplomatique, VOGUE, Marie Claire, and Mídia Ninja.
